ประวัติของหน่วยงาน

                  ศูนย์แห่งความยอดเยี่ยมทางวิศวกรรมเพื่อความยั่งยืน หรือ ศูนย์ความเป็นเลิศด้านวิศวกรรมยั่งยืน คือ ศูนย์ความเป็นเลิศเฉพาะทางและศูนย์บริการวิชาการภายใต้การบริหารจัดการตามแผนยุทธศาสตร์ของคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ที่ตอบสนองแผนยุทธศาสตร์ 15 ปี (พ.ศ. 2553-2567) มหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒ และนโยบายระดับชาติ (ยุทธศาสตร์ชาติ พ.ศ. 2561-2580) จะดำเนินการวิจัยและให้บริการวิชาการโดยยึดหลักบูรณาการองค์ความรู้และความเชี่ยวชาญด้านวิศวกรรมศาสตร์หลายมิติ โดยมุ่งเน้นให้คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์มีทั้งอาจารย์ นักวิจัย วิศวกร ช่างเทคนิค และผู้เชี่ยวชาญในสาขาวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ต่างๆ และได้บูรณาการองค์ความรู้ ประสบการณ์ และความเชี่ยวชาญด้านวิทยาศาสตร์สมัยใหม่และความก้าวหน้าทางเทคโนโลยีในแต่ละสาขาวิชา เพื่อสร้างองค์ความรู้ด้านนวัตกรรมเพื่อพัฒนาและแก้ไขปัญหาทางวิศวกรรมที่จะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อชุมชน สังคม และอุตสาหกรรมการผลิตของประเทศ ซึ่งจะนำไปสู่การพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจและสังคมอย่างยั่งยืนภายใต้พื้นที่เป้าหมายการดำเนินงานในจังหวัดที่รับผิดชอบ มหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒ ได้ก่อตั้งขึ้นตามนโยบาย 1 จังหวัด 1 มหาวิทยาลัย และนโยบายพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งชาติเพื่อการแข่งขันเชิงพาณิชย์ (National Competitiveness Enhancement) ซึ่งยังมีความสำคัญในการจัดตั้งศูนย์วิจัยและบริการวิชาการของคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ เพื่อรองรับการเปลี่ยนแปลงของโลกาภิวัตน์ โดยเฉพาะการขยายตัวของประชาคมเศรษฐกิจอาเซียน

                   Excellent Center for Sustainable Engineering is a specialized center of excellence and an academic service center under the strategic planned management of the Faculty of Engineering that meets the strategic plan for 15 years (2010-2024) . Srinakharinwirot University and its national policies (National Strategy 2018-2037) will conduct research and provide academic services based on integrating knowledge and expertise in multidimensional engineering. The ECSE has focused on the Faculty of Engineering including instructors, researchers, engineers, technicians and experts in various fields of engineering and has integrated knowledge, experience and expertise in modern science and technological advancements in each discipline to create innovation knowledge to develop and solve engineering problems that will benefit the country's communities, society and manufacturing industries which will provide sustainable economic and social development under the operation target areas in the responsible provinces. Srinakharinwirot University have been set in accordance with the policy of 1 province 1 university and the national development policy of industry for commercial competition (National Competitiveness Enhancement) is also important in establishing research centers and academic services of the Faculty of Engineering. This is to support changes in globalization. In particular, the ex pansion of the ASEAN Economic Community.
